Larry visited Val Kilmer's cemetery plot in Tombstone, where a plaque is dedicated to him since August of 2025. The bronze statue depicts Val as Doc Holliday, a character he famously portrayed in the movie Tombstone.

Mayor Dusty Escapule of Tombstone, along with Peter Sherayko, known as Texas Jack Vermillion from the movie Tombstone, and sculptor Larry Gay, gathered at the cemetery plot dedicated to Val Kilmer in Tombstone.

Larry was born in Tucson and grew up in the mountains of Colorado and Montana. He has participated in major art shows throughout the country since 1987, and he has won numerous awards for sculpture as he has traveled.
